Cancellation & Refund Policy
Everything you need to know about cancellations, refund eligibility and how to submit a request.
Key Rule
We understand that travel plans can shift. Sometimes schedules change, unexpected issues arise or questions come up after a booking is completed. This page explains how cancellations and refunds work for tickets purchased through our website.
Our Role as Ticket Provider
Chicago Architecture Tour functions as an independent ticket seller for cruises operated by Wendella Tours & Cruises and First Lady Cruises. When you make a reservation through our website:
- Your purchase is completed directly with us
- We process your payment securely
- We issue and deliver your tickets
- We manage cancellation and refund requests according to the ticket terms shown at checkout
The 48-Hour Cancellation Window
All bookings on our platform follow the same cancellation rule:
- More than 48 hours before tour start: You may cancel for free and receive a full refund. Submit your cancellation through Manage Booking or email our support team.
- Within 48 hours of tour start: The booking is non-refundable. We are unable to issue a refund regardless of the reason, including illness, weather concerns or changes to your travel plans.
Approved refunds are typically processed within 5 to 10 business days, depending on your payment method.
When Full Refunds May Also Be Available
- Operator cancellation: If the cruise operator officially cancels your departure and no alternative time is offered, you'll receive a full refund regardless of the 48-hour window.
- Confirmed ticket issues: If a ticket is verified as invalid due to a system error and entry is denied for reasons directly related to the ticket itself, a full refund will be issued after verification.
- Tickets not delivered: If your ticket is not delivered before your scheduled departure, contact us immediately so we can reissue it or refund you.
When Refunds Are Not Available
- Changes in personal travel plans or scheduling conflicts
- Late arrival at the dock
- Selecting the wrong date, time slot or ticket quantity
- Tickets lost, misplaced or deleted after delivery
- Failure to follow boarding instructions or required ID checks
Cruises run rain or shine — weather alone does not trigger a refund. Only an operator cancellation does.
How to Request a Cancellation or Refund
You can cancel directly online using your booking reference and email, or email us at support@chicagoarchitecturetour.com with:
- Your booking reference number
- The full name used at checkout
- Your scheduled tour date and time
- A brief explanation of your request
Our Commitment to Fair Review
Every refund inquiry is reviewed individually by a member of our support team — not by automation. If a refund is approved, confirmation will be sent via email along with information about expected processing timelines. If a request does not qualify under the applicable terms, we will explain the reasons clearly.
